Upwas/Farali Thalipeeth is a typical Maharashtrian delicacy made especially for religious fasts or upwas. Taste for Life Upwas Thalipeeth Mix is the perfect dish for upwas and can be prepared in just 15 minutes.
It has the perfect flavor of peanuts and jeera. A 200g pack makes approximately 7–8 thalipeeth. It can also be enjoyed as a wholesome breakfast option.
Upwas Thalipeeth Mix Recipe:
In 1 bowl of ready mix, add ½ bowl of water and knead the dough.
Wait for 5 minutes, then add 2–3 tsp water and knead again.
Apply oil or ghee on butter paper/plastic sheet and place 1 portion of the dough on it.
Flatten it gently by tapping to make a round thalipeeth.
Apply ghee/oil on a non-stick pan and heat for 1 minute.
Roast both sides on medium flame until cooked.
Serve hot with curd or chutney.
Rajgeera, Vari chawal, Sabudana, Peanut powder, Potato flakes, Jeera, Salt, Sugar, Green Chili Powder
1 bowl ready mix (whole pack).
½ bowl water.
Knead dough.
Wait for 5 minutes.
Use the same bowl for measuring readymix and water.
Add 1-2 tsp water and knead again.
Divide the dough into 8 equal portions.
Apply some oil/ghee on a butter paper/plastic sheet.
Keep 1 portion of dough on it.
Flatten it by tapping gently to make a round thalipeeth.
Apply oil/ghee on a non-stick pan and heat it for 1 minute.
Roast both the sides of thalipeeth on medium gas flame. Serve hot with curd.
