Sugandhi Modak Chawal Atta

Recipe:

For Coconut Filling:

Mix the grated coconut & jaggery together, cook until they are mixed.

Add cardomom powder and dry fruits for the outer cover.

In one cup of boiling water add 1tbs oil and 1 cup of Modal Chawal Atta Stir it continuously to avoid lumps.

cover with lid of 5 min.

Knead it while hot and make a soft dough.

To make Modaks:

Start when the dough is slightly warm.

Grease the palm with oil and flatten a ball of dough to form a cup shape place about 3/4 teaspoon coconut filling into this cup.

Dip thumb and index finger in the oil and make 5-6 small pinches side by side on the outer edges of the cup.

Bring them together on the top and join to form a peak.

Steam the modaks for 15 mins.

It appears like garlic pod.

Serve hot with lots of ghee on the top.
