Taste for Life’s Journey
1998 - 2002
Deshpande’s Taste for Life was founded by Mr. Mandar Deshpande in a small factory at Vasai with just 5 staff members.
A small shop was opened in Vile Parle, Mumbai, offering home delivery of 2-3 atta variants.
In 1999, Mrs. Minal Deshpande joined the business.
2003 - 2007
Another shop was started in Borivali, Mumbai, selling 10 products.
Delivery franchisees were appointed in Thane, Mumbai and Navi Mumbai.
An automatic plant was set up in Mahape, Navi Mumbai.
2008 - 2012
The product line expanded to 15-20 new products, including our Premium Bhakari Atta range.
We commenced selling products to grocery stores.
‘Softness’ became a Unique Selling Proposition for Taste for Life
2013 - 2017
Our products were made available at supermarkets like Apna Bazaar and Sahakar Bhandar.
We started exporting to Dubai and Singapore.
2018 - 2022
Mahape factory was awarded ISO 22000 accreditation for Food Safety Management.
With Dhokla Ready Mixes, a new Ready Mix range was introduced to make healthy and tasty dishes in just a few minutes.
2023 - 2024
Built a fully equipped Quality Control Lab for physical, chemical and microbial testing of products and to maintain good hygiene and manufacturing practices.
Through our official website & E-commerce platforms like Amazon, Jio Mart and D-Mart Ready our products are now sold all over India.
2025 - 2026
>The product range has grown to 45+ delicious products. We've been on a flavorful journey—now available on Blinkit for delivery in minutes, and expanding globally with our latest exports to Australia, New Zealand and USA.
