Deshpande’s Taste for Life (TFL) was founded by Mr. Mandar Deshpande in a small factory at Vasai with just 5 staff members.

Small shop opened at Vile Parle (East), Mumbai offering home delivery of 2-3 Atta variants.

In 1999, Mrs. Minal Deshpande joined the business.

A new shop was started at Borivali with 10 product variants.

Appointed delivery franchisees in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai and Thane.

An automatic plant was set up in Mahape, Navi Mumbai.

The product line expanded with 15-20 new products including the Premium Bhakri atta range.

Commenced selling products to grocery stores to reach every customer and distributors were appointed to serve grocery stores.

“Softness” became a unique selling proposition for TFL.

Started selling products through 0modern format stores like Reliance, Apna Bazar and Sahakar Bhandar.

Initialized exports to Dubai & Singapore.

Mahape factory was awarded ISO 22000 accreditation for food safety management.

TFL’s Ready Mix range was introduced to make healthy and tasty dishes in just a few minutes, with Dhokla range as its inaugural products.

Introduced an online order booking mobile app for Mumbai-based customers for ease of product booking.

Built a fully equipped quality control lab for Physical, Chemical & Microbial testing of products to maintain Good hygiene and Manufacturing practices.

Commenced online sale of products through the official website (www.tasteforlifeproducts.com) & E-commerce portals like Amazon and D-mart Ready.

Product line comprised of Premium Wheat Atta range, Bhakri Atta range, Dal Atta Range, easy-to-prepare Ready Mixes and unique festive Ready Mix range.

Currently 200+ staff employed with Taste for Life with majority of women being part of the sales team.

Presently, 45,000+ happy families using TFL products across Mumbai & 9 exclusive distributors serving around 45 franchisees and 1500 A-class outlets.
